Sadly for me, I have been feeling much worse than I remember feeling when pregnant with Nate. Despite being careful to eat every couple hours, I still feel nauseous almost constantly. However, I should not complain because I know that it could be much worse. I am able to keep food down and sometimes I feel pretty good. I would love to just sleep all the time! It requires effort and self-discipline to get up and do anything.

Mr. and Mrs. Amos Downs!!
What a privilege to be able to witness the joining together of Kim Burkholder and Amos Downs on Saturday! Especially now that I have taken those same solemn vows, I love hearing them repeated. The wedding was beautiful. I kept thinking about how a bride is a picture of the Church, and the joy of a wedding is a tiny taste of the joy we will experience at Christ's wedding feast. If all the earthly joy of marriage is simply a dull shadow, pointing towards the joy and intimacy of heaven, then heaven is going to be pretty amazing!
Here are some pictures that Brett took on Saturday.
Friends from afar!
We had quite an eventful week last week! My old friend Kathryn, from Delaware, arrived late Tuesday night and then she, Nate, and I left for Alabama the next morning to visit her brother Richie and his wife Suzanne. Suzanne is expecting a little girl in September, so we were also anxious to see her baby bump! It was an adorable bump. =)
Nate was a great little traveler and rarely complained during the 5 hour trip. Though that was partially due to Kathryn's efforts to keep him entertained! We realized that he would not cry if Cheerios were being fed to him very rapidly. Here are some pictures of our overnight trip to Huntsville, AL.
A full-scale model of the rocket that was launched to the moon. Huntsville is home to part of NASA.
Suzanne and the cute (and not-at-all-huge=) baby bump!
After dinner we went on a walk in the park in downtown Huntsville. Nate most enjoyed the ducks, especially when they shook and fluffed their feathers!
The water would churn with fish when Richie threw in some corn flakes.
This poor little guy seemed to be alone among all the big fish and ducks, but knew how to take care of himself!
Brave Richie feeding a goose!
This picture cracked me up....I have no idea what Kay is doing.
This is a natural spring, right in the middle of Huntsville! The water was freezing cold and felt quite refreshing on our feet. Nate was upset that only his feet could go in the water...he wanted to be fully submerged!
Sadly, we could only stay for a short visit, so on Thursday Kay, Nate, and I drove back home.
On Friday, Kathryn and I went to the Burkholder's to help Kim with the flowers for her wedding. We made the corsages and boutonnieres. The sunflowers were really pretty!
Kim was so relaxed and chill about everything! You would never have known that she was getting married the next day!
Kathryn's trip ended much too quickly. She had to fly home on Saturday to get back for teacher's training and such. We enjoyed her visit!!
