First, we explored the playground.
Then we headed off to the pond. When Nate saw it, he started running full speed yelling, "Wa-wa! Wa-wa!" Thankfully Brett stayed right behind him, because, just as we suspected, he did not even slow down when he came to the water's edge.
I did not get any pictures of the actual attempt to dive headlong into the "wa-wa". If we had not been concerned about giving all the other onlooking parents a heart attack, we probably would have let him splash into the water. He is going to have to learn sometime soon that water can be scary! Not that there was any real danger here because it sloped off very gradually.
Then Brett carried Nate whenever we were near the water=)
Nate also enjoyed watching the geese and ducks.
Then we went up on a pier that went out over the water. I kept my hand on Nate because he wanted to go through the railing into the water below, even though there was quite a drop. Apparently I should have kept him a little farther back because he managed to knock one of his shoes off into the water!
Thankfully Dad is good at fishing. =)
"Do that again Dad!"
After that Nate walked on the sidewalk in his stocking feet. He didn't mind.
All in all, we had a lovely time and concluded that we should visit the park more often. Though maybe it would be easier if we went to one without a pond!

He is adorable! Looks like you'll need Daddy whenever you go to the park so that you can keep up with that active little boy!
